Our partner company, a fast-growing publication covering global video game news, industry shifts, esports, and everything in between, is looking for a Social Media & Community Manager to help grow and engage the audience across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Run and grow the social channels (Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, Discord)
- Craft and schedule engaging posts based on daily editorial output
- Work closely with the editorial team to amplify the best content
- Monitor trends and memes for smart, timely reactions
- Grow and manage an active community (comments, replies, DMs, Discord)
- Report on engagement metrics and iterate on what works
- Occasionally assist with light copywriting for posts and video captions
Requirements
- Deep understanding of gaming culture and online communities
- Native or near-native English
- Strong sense of timing, humor, and tone
- Able to work independently and keep pace with a daily content cycle
Bonus Points
- Experience with Discord community management
- Proven experience running social media for a gaming or media brand
- Knowledge of SEO and social analytics tools
- Familiarity with AP-style writing or newsroom workflows
