About
I am a graduating Senior at NCSU studying Economics and Spanish. I have a strong desire to get into the field of data analytics or business intelligence, along with other similar fields. Having worked full-time throughout my college career to pay for my tuition and housing, I have not completed any internships yet. However, I am eager to gain more experience, as I have been learning many skills separate from my schooling.
As a bartender at Glasshouse Kitchen, I have developed great people skills along with an ability to multitask, as I had to manage customer interactions at the same time as creating craft cocktails for a high volume restaurant.
During my time as the lead bartender for La Rancherita, I received minimal training despite it being my first time ever working as a bartender or at a restaurant in general. Despite this, I learned quickly and became self-taught in many areas. Because of the high amount of responsibility given to me, I was forced to adapt. While the first couple of weeks were very stressful for me, I eventually got the hang of it and was promoted from bartender to lead bartender within 3 weeks of my hiring. I took over responsibility to keep inventory and make orders to stock the bar, as well as some managerial duties whenever managers were not present. This is due to my natural inclination to lead and to prioritize the wellbeing of whatever company I am working for over my own interests.
