Cointelegraph is looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for managing the company’s websites, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless functionality across all devices. You will collaborate closely with our editorial, design, and marketing teams to maintain and enhance our online presence, integrating the latest features and ensuring the site remains secure and scalable.
Key requirements
- Develop and maintain highly scalable and efficient web applications using Vue.js
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, backend developers, and product managers to design and implement new features
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring a seamless user experience
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
Qualifications/Responsibilities
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in front-end development, with at least 3 years focused on Vue.js
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including ES6+ syntax and features
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
- Proficient in writing unit tests and utilizing testing frameworks
- Experience with server-side events and WebSocket
- Knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools, such as Webpack, Babel, and NPM
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
- Perform decomposition and transform user stories into tasks with technical requirements
- Communicate with backend developers about API contract
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working on WYSIWYG editors
- Previous experience working with content management systems (CMS)
- Experience with Conflict-free Replicated Data Types (CRDTs)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment
