Job Description:
MPG is actively seeking a Game Designer to provide design support to our R&D team. As a Game Designer, you will collaborate with production, art, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver unparalleled multiplayer gaming experiences. The ideal candidate is a versatile Generalist with extensive experience across various aspects of game and level design development. Possessing a proactive problem-solving approach, you will independently tackle projects, addressing both technical and creative challenges. Additionally, you will actively contribute to team collaboration, ensuring the realization of the best ideas in-game.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualizing and prototyping new game ideas from inception to mid-development stages
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address creative and technical challenges across diverse projects
- Identifying and documenting tasks, monitoring progress, and reporting on project status
- Upholding high-quality standards and processes, including workflows, tests, documentation, and approvals
- Participating in stand-ups, craft meetings, deep-dives, reviews, and show-and-tells
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using Unreal Engine
- Experience in prototyping gameplay mechanics
- Solid design development background in the games industry
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for comprehending design documentation
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate conceptual thoughts and accept constructive critique
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a generalist role, encompassing level design and UI design
- Familiarity with working in cross-disciplinary teams
- Proficiency in using Unity
