Cointelegraph - Global
Our Magazine editor is looking for feature writers who can create people-centric stories, delving into why the true believers of blockchain feel they can change the world (and why they think it needs to be changed).
How is this technology affecting the lives of countless people — today, right now, not at some distant point in the future? What is decentralization, and why does it matter in the era of Big Tech, Big Data, and surveillance capitalism? What trends in the blockchain industry deserve deeper exploration?
We are not looking for news - we have that covered. And for this role we're not interested in the price of Bitcoin or research on blockchain projects.
We're looking specifically for story-tellers who can delve into the social and philosophical implications of an emerging technology.
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced, published feature writer with a talent for connecting threads at the intersection of finance, technology, and social impact.
You're comfortable pitching ideas, interviewing multiple primary sources, and working with the editor to refine and hone your story. You will be equally comfortable accepting occasional assignments on subjects that may not overlap with your previous experience.
This is not a role for the neophyte writer who wants to 'break in' to the industry. It's for top-notch, proven professionals who have demonstrable and extensive feature experience - along with the gravitas and persistence to secure time with interviewees whose insights illuminate your articles.
We pay competitive rates in Bitcoin, Ether, or select other cryptocurrencies. We are looking for one or two features per month.
