We are hiring a part or full time Head of People to own the Crunchbase People function, and guide the organization through a high-growth period. The ideal candidate has a record of owning and executing progressive human resource practices, developing high-performing HR teams, and can simultaneously play the role of a hands-on HR resource.

The Crunchbase People team is responsible for developing and fostering the culture of the organization, and building programs that enable our employees to do their best work.

**As Crunchbase’s Head of People, you will:**

• Lead all people-related initiatives, including performance management, compliance, recruiting, diversity & inclusion, compensation, total rewards, immigration, retention, learning and development, and employee relations

• Enhance and foster the Crunchbase culture by developing programs and initiatives that keep our employees closely knit

• Serve as a trusted resource to all employees, and guide them through career development and interpersonal conversations

• Manage total rewards programs including health, wellness, commuting, parental leave, retirement, and other benefits plans; identify new benefits offerings as the team continues to grow

• Partner with PEO to manage yearly open enrollment process, payroll, and benefits administration; evaluate new vendors and partners as necessary

• Understand and evaluate the competitive landscape and evaluate market trends to better inform compensation and benefits offerings

• Work with external immigration attorneys to manage the employment visa process

• Partner with Talent team and hiring managers to build annual headcount plans


• 5+ years previous experience running the People/Human Resources function within a high-growth, progressive organization

• In depth understanding of HR best practices

• Demonstrated understanding of compliance issues, including federal, state, and municipal employment laws

• Experience crafting and managing compensation practices

• Proven ability to develop high-performing people teams

• High level of integrity and ability to use good judgement

• Strong people management and coaching skills

• Excellent communication skills -- speaking at executive level, both internally and externally, comes with ease
