Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, analysis and implementation of planning ideas to minimize global taxes that agrees with the overall company strategy;
- Responsible for the review of US GAAP calculations, entity tax provisions, deferred and current tax and consolidated provision calculations;
- Responsible for the filing of foreign, US and state consolidated corporate income tax returns;
- Manage relationships with outside tax advisors;
- Work with various business units to opine on tax implications for a wide range of transactions;
- Maintenance of the global tax calendar and ensure that the company is in compliance with filing deadlines across the globe;
- Create and implement improvements for the tax provision process and other tax processes. Implement any tax technology as needed; and
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years prior related experience, including a minimum of 5 years international tax experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field. CPA, JD or MBA preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Advanced Excel is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure, independently and follow instructions
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Strong math aptitude and ability to work accurately with numbers
- Excellent organizational, written and interpersonal skills, attention to detail
- Applies principles of taxation to analyze financial information
- Ability to work and interact with personnel at all levels within the organization
- Knowledge of industry related concepts and terminology
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with significant competing deadlines.
- Able to grasp processes and concepts quickly and resolve issues.
- History of solving multiple complex operational and tax challenges
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP requirements and SOX requirements preferred. IFRS background a plus.
