Job Description

Parity Technologies builds core infrastructure to power a better internet—one that respects the freedom and data of individuals—and to empower developers to create better services through decentralized tech. Parity’s technologies include Substrate, a flexible framework for building blockchains, and Polkadot, a protocol for connecting and securing blockchains.

The Ecosystem Growth team, part of the larger Ecosystem Development team, focuses on attracting development teams to build solutions for the Substrate and Polkadot ecosystems. The overall objective is to improve the two platforms and accelerate their adoption. This includes conducting research & gathering product feedback and identifying, engaging, and nurturing key relationships.

The Account Manager plays a crucial role in our company – you will be working directly with the Director of Ecosystem Growth to nurture and retain teams that are already within the Polkadot and Substrate ecosystems. You will develop a keen understanding of the blockchain ecosystem and blockchain stakeholder relationships, as well as a strong product understanding that you will apply often in your work. The end result is that teams, with your help, will build better products and achieve greater adoption. We are looking for a talented individual with the right mix of technical and ecosystem knowledge, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.


  • Manage relationships with dozens of post-sales accounts, including high priority accounts
  • Help accounts navigate Substrate & Polkadot resources and decision-making: available technical solutions, governance & economics considerations, funding opportunities, etc.
  • Ensure certain accounts either become self-sufficient or move on to other types of support structures in the Polkadot and Substrate ecosystems
  • Help plan, launch and run valuable and complex programs that support existing accounts
  • Collect external feedback and relay it to internal stakeholders, and help drive decision making to improve account satisfaction
  • Communicate product and company updates with, and send invites to, various accounts


  • Excellent technical understanding of blockchain technologies
  • Excellent understanding of blockchain ecosystems
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to speak to different constituencies such as business development, communications, and engineering internally and externally
  • Ability to multitask and engage with many stakeholders at once
  • Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, prioritize, communicate, and function in a small team
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance and handle uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Nice-to-have: experience in ecosystem building (ideally for open source technologies), software engineering, or entrepreneurship/startups
